The Grand Prix Of Mosport

With the Grand Prix of Mosport all ready wrapped up for another year, the season is starting to wind down for us. Can't believe it's been almost a year since i started this Blog. As the season slowly comes to an end, looking back now, we have built quite the Fab shop. (Pictures and updates will start to come). Avenger to some still looks the same, but to us there has been a lot of work done. "Good projects take blood, sweat and most importantly time".

Jigg n' Jacks!

So, like i said, been super busy planning, researching and building with our newly titled beast, "Avenger" It was time to get the car off those huge stands that we made, and down to some level ground again. Those stands did there job, which was to get everything grinned down and to get rid of the undercoat. Now with that out of the way, we can get going on some metal. Machinery wise, were pretty much set to go on building what ever we need to get the job done. That was the plan from day 1.

Next, we needed to build jacks that can have casters on them, so we put our heads together and came up with building some serious "modified jacks". 1/4" inch plate with grade 8 bolts and a total of 16 casters did the job, and can't forget about a little welding on top of that . After the movable jacks were made, we spray bombed them black just to make em' look evil.

After that, it was time to jig the jacks to the car. We tacked them to the frame, then we used some left over square tubing from another job to make the jacks 1, that way when they roll, they roll together. We were really happy with the finished product because now we can roll the car in and out easily, not to mention we need the other space for the other beast sleeping next to Avenger-love that name.

Friday night Mopar Muscle

Friday night there's a local Mopar meet at a fair size plaza. You can find the euro guys and the Honda boys hangin' around the area too, so it was quite entertaining with the authorities lighting up there cherries every time someone decides to be a hot shot. We got a thumbs up from the boys in blue cause hell, there local Mopar drivers too. LOL....Anyways, back on topic. Friday night was some awesome weather, so there was a huge turnout, at least 20 plus cars averaging from all the LX platforms (300C, Chargers and Magnums), to the brand new stuff and the odd Challenger that would drop by. The night turned out great, but me being an idiot, i forgot my tripod for the camera. Alot of the pictures came out blurry cause of the night settings so ill just post these up!

The Corolla is getting a huge make over and now we have another plan for her, (another update on that soon ;)

In the mean time, we got invited to a local charity car show at a hot rod shop, "Boot Hill Resurrection". Rolled up in the SRT8 all shinny and all and got some thumbs up, love that!
